This new alternator has an electronic regulator assuring safe and reliable operation with positive turn-on, integral load response control and over/under voltage monitoring. "P" and "F" terminals permit on-board computer interface. A new bridge has passivated chips with high reliability and an integral capacitor eliminates wiring, suppresses radio interference and uses less space. High efficiency internal and external fans deliver increased air flow for cooler operating temperatures. Improved brush grades offer longer service life. A dynamically balanced rotor assembly gives stable operation at speeds to 18,000 rpm. For use in racing applications, this is a 74 amp machine with RTV rectifier leads. It has locktite through bolts and B+ terminal. There is a new, beefed-up drive housing. The external fan may be removed for loads not exceeding 25 amps.
