This heavy-duty iron four-bolt cap is used on bearings #1,2,3, and 4.   Small Image
Technical Notes: The ends of this semi-finished cap must be machined to register the cap in the block. Align bore the main bearing housings after installing replacement heavy-duty bearing caps.

This iron cap replaces the standard four-bolt rear main bearing cap on big block V8s. 1965-1990 only.   Small Image
Technical Notes: The ends of this semi-finished cap must be machined to reg-ister the cap in the block and the oil groove must be machined. Align bore the main bearing housings after installing replacement heavy- duty rear main cap. Use two oil pump locating pins P/N 12554553 (not included).
